Please make sure you enroll for a Theory Class and a Driving Class. 



Enrollment Requirements: You must be a high-school student at least 16 years of age and have a VALID LEARNER'S PERMIT PRIOR TO the start of classes.

If you have a medical condition, please inform us. Confidentiality will be maintained.

Application Procedure: Registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis.Payment can be made online using MasterCard, Visa, or e-check, or in person with any form of payment.



PLEASE EMAIL A COPY OF YOUR LEARNER'S PERMIT as well as the completed "PARENTAL CONSENT FORM" to Mlaoutas@portnet.org to complete the registration process. 



Make sure the Driving car you choose does not conflict with the time of the Theory class.



Tuition and Refund Policy: Tuition fee is $600 for Port Washington residents, non-residents, $700. Refunds are allowed prior to the start of the semester, however a $25 processing fee will be charged. No refunds will be issued after the start of the semester.

A limited number of scholarships are available for students eligible for free lunch; and partial scholarships for students eligible for reduced lunch.

Attendance: Attendance at ALL sessions is mandatory. Only 2 absences are permitted but must be made up. If your child plans to participate in sports consider signing up for the later Theory class which begins at 6:15pm during the Fall & Spring semesters. No transportation is provided to or from classes.



Upon Completion: Students who successfully complete the requirements for this non-credit course will receive a Student Certificate of Completion (MV285) and an Insurance Premium Reduction Letter. Reissuance of certificates will be charged a $25 fee.

Note: After completing the course, submitting the MV285, and passing the road test, you must still wait for your 17th birthday to be eligible for a regular license. ***NO CERTIFICATES WILL BE ISSUED PRIOR TO THE END OF THE LAST THEORY & DRIVING CLASS AND NOT BEFORE ALL MAKE UP SESSIONS HAVE BEEN COMPLETED!!***
